    Simple, elegant. I’m getting more and more fan of this little family here. Too bad she didn’t just get some parts of a…..fruit production company: she could have provided a spaceship with her money, in that case.

    Great work !

  • Jenova Says:

    *lol* you´re fixing Enix´s Plotholes… ^^

  • Evil Genius Says:

    Seriously man, you’re pretty much explaining to us how all this crap in Chrono Trigger happened. That’s great and all, but it’s getting pretty annoying.

  • CTfan Says:

    @Evil Genius: I love it!

    But, how is a boat going to find magus?

  • Hoshi Says:

    Yeah, see stuff like this makes you think how the economy works in some games, or even TV shows. Like in pokemon, sure trainers give you money when you win, but where do they get their money? Also pkmn centers are a free service, so is it like Canadas health care sytem, and the people working are just taxed? Also in the pkmn league do they charge people to come and watch, I am sure the winner, gets a prize reward (money).

  • Mr. Will Says:

    @Hoshi

    See, I’ve had similar thoughts while watching movies like Transformers. We have these big fucking robots laying waste to each other, and the building around them. Where do they get the money to buy materials and pay the wages of the people who are forced to rebuild?

    Nice one Rob, you’ve sparked a discussion about fantasy economics.

  • CTfan Says:

    I’ll just ask the big ass question: Who puts coins in the same boxes as they put mushrooms?

  • gentros Says:

    @ctfan

    …maybe mushroom-headed Minish?

  • Hoshi Says:

    @gentros
    i didnt know the minish lived in the mushroom kingdom.

    @Mr. Will
    Yeah, the clean up after a disatser in a movie would really break a country. I get the feeling that most epilogues are lacking

  • nigetron Says:

    @everyone
    Obvz, A wizard did it ^^

  • Grandpalove Says:

    @nigetron
    or Chuck norris.

  • tvtyrant Says:

    Most importantly, why the hell does the epilogue always show the hero with a wife and offspring peacefully doing… Peaceful shit? If I just killed a planet destroying monster I would be all “As my genetics are clearly better then everyone else’s, I demand a harem of hot women, my children to automatically become nobility, and for everyone to pay me tribute so I don’t destroy them like insignificant flies.”

  • Robert L. Lynch Says:

    Regarding economics:

    I would assume in the Pokemon universe, the Pokemon centers are not a government provided service, as only a small percentage of citizens are Pokemon trainers. More likely, it is a free service provided by Silph Co. and the Devon Corporation, manufacturers of Pokeballs and many other trainer supplies. They can afford to offer the service for free, because they have the market cornered on supplies (it helps to garner customer loyalty).

    As far as post-disaster cleanup goes, half of the fictional version of Tokyo’s job market is related to post-Godzilla cleanup. Insurance companies, building supply manufacturers, construction companies; these sort of disasters are planed for well in advance. Most damage is repaired within a month of the incident. I’m sure the same is likely true about most other major cities’ fictional counterparts (this however is not the case in reality, as demonstrated by the still-gaping hole where the twin towers once stood, and the mass debris fields that were once New Orleans).

    Regarding “?” boxes:

    The coins and shrooms are put in boxes by none other than Bowser himself. It’s all a part of Princess Toadstool’s game. The real issue is that the princess gets off on fulfilling her rescue fantasy. She allows herself to be captured, so Mario can save her and set off the fireworks in her castle, if you know what I mean (otherwise, the castle security would me much stronger, preventing her capture in the first place). Bowser knows this, and while he enjoys the cat and mouse game he plays with Mario, he also knows that he’ll be stuck with a screaming princess if Mario can’t save her. Thus, the coins and shrooms are placed in the boxes by Bowser to give Mario a fighting chance. It’s also been surmised that the princess enjoys having Bowser fulfill her capture and rape fantasies just as much as having Mario fulfill her rescue fantasy.

    So remember, the next time you play any Super Mario game, your just playing out the sexual fantasies of an insatiable nymphomaniac princess, and not really saving a damsel in distress.

    @Rob:…

  • CTfan Says:

    Sorry for the double post, but I cannot edit my prevoius one. What about now, where the Princess is with two others and Victor?

  • Madrobot Says:

    @rob:…..dude….i’m saving a nymphomaniac? and i don’t even get laid and the lizard does? oh COME ON!!!! ….*sigh* shoulda gone with daisy..

  • Dan Says:

    Rob, I just crapped my pants a little bit. Your sheer economic brainpower scares me.

  • CTfan Says:

    @Madrobot: “She allows herself to be captured, so Mario can save her and set off the fireworks in her castle, if you know what I mean (otherwise, the castle security would me much stronger, preventing her capture in the first place)”

    Mario gets the fireworks on.

    @ CTfan, re: “What about now, where the Princess is with two others and Victor?”

    You’re forgetting this comic isn’t video game world reality. My ENTIRE comic is within video game world, including the super specials, which are behind the scenes of the comic. In this way, the story of the comic is a fiction being told within the world. The characters from the games are all actors portraying themselves.

    Think of it this way: Heroes Inc. Story –inside–> Video Game World –inside–> Real World.

  • CTfan Says:

    Oh. At least Victor isn’t lighting any fireworks. Can you imagine that?

  • nigetron Says:

    @rob Wow… just wow
